For Mentors
The Pacific Northwest economic Region (PNWER) is focused on how the region can utilize the latest technologies to safely reopen in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, PNWER developed the Congregate Accelerator Program with the goal to accelerate innovative solutions that will allow people to congregate while ensuring public health safety and mitigating risks from emerging variants. Technology is a key component to a successful recovery as well as growing the economy in the coming years.
PNWER recognizes that companies that have innovative solutions will need various levels of support to advance their solutions to the marketplace. To that end, PNWER is building a community of mentors (like yourself) from diverse backgrounds such as technology, policy, regulation, government and stakeholder companies.
About the Program
The COVID-19 pandemic severely affected the Pacific Northwest’s Tourism, Performing Arts, Travel and Hospitality (TPATH) sectors. Startups, industry experts and government leaders can each play a pivotal role in the journey to recovery and resilience
Congregate is a 12-week program and will be completely virtual. It is free to apply for, free to participate in, and there will be no equity exchanged.
Why become a mentor?
Advise and grow technologies and companies that directly impact the tourism, performing arts, travel and hospitality (TPATH) industries in the Pacific Northwest
Connect with a diverse community of stakeholders from business, technology and government backgrounds
Have a direct impact on the resilience and growth of the Pacific Northwest regional economy
Expectations for mentors
Be positive and respectful — mentorship is about helping member companies, founders, and people that want to make a positive impact on the PNW succeed. Always offer encouragement and respect.
As part of your mentorship role we will match you up with 1-3 companies. You will also be able to match yourself with a specific company.
We request that you work with your mentee companies for about 1 hour/week, for the 12-week duration of the program.
We will be working with the startups and matching them with mentors through an accelerator platform called Metabeta.
Track your hours spent on the Congregate Accelerator so we can participated in the EDA matching program.
